We Value Children
Sunday School is currently starting in the fellowship hall for PK-5th grades, 9:30-10:30 am.
We want to see Children learn to love God and understand that He loves them. We recognize that children will inevitably learn to love God by watching and imitating our actions, and we value our role as positive examples for their growth in Christ.
We Value Biblical Education
We intentionally teach our children biblical concepts through programs that are engaging, encouraging, safe and fun.
We Value Prayer
We want our children to learn to communicate with God through Prayer.
We Value Missions
We teach our children to be the hands and feet of God by hosting and encouraging local mission projects.
Sunday School – Our Sunday School for Grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade meet every Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Nursery
The Nursery is located by the Fellowship Hall for children five and under.
Please stop by and see our beautiful nursery and take advantage of it during both services (8:30 and 10:30), and the Sunday School hour.
Vacation Bible School
A summer session of learning, games, crafts and service.
Children’s Christmas Program
An annual event with practices beginning in November and the program performed in December.
- Note: We adhere to our Safe Sanctuary Policy to insure a safe environment for the children, volunteers and leaders. If you join our team the training is mandatory, but we will help fit the teaching into a time that works with your schedule. Our Children’s Ministry Team is committed to creating an environment for children of Pontiac First United Methodist Church, birth through 5th grade, to become Disciples of Jesus Christ.
